About Me

Assalamu alaykum – peace be upon you.

My name is Safiyah, I am a Muslim. I live with my husband in the land that is home to Hogwarts and where the unicorn is the national animal – Scotland. I am passionate about reading, writing, cats and tea.

I love writing and I always have. In the past I have written bits and pieces with no real order or purpose. I decided to put some sort of structure and meaning behind my writing hence here I am blogging. I am also currently working on a novel which I may share snippets of here and there (if you want to know what it is about then please feel free to contact me).

Everybody has a different experience in this world and I just want to share mine. There is no singular topic of my blog, whatever topics catch my attention and whatever I feel I have something to write about.

As a Muslim, my faith is a big part of my life and the current attitude towards Islam on the whole, is an issue which affects me. This is one topic I would like to share my views on and hopefully open some minds and challenge some stereotypes.

“You don’t write because you want to say something, you write because you have something to say.” F. Scott Fitzgerald.

Very well expressed. I myself – raised Jewish – are more than a little interested in listening to what insights you have to share on your enduring Muslim love and beliefs. I do get it. Keep up the excellent and necessary work of love you are involved in.
